We are experts in photochemical machining (PCM), which creates highly precise thin metal parts. PCM allows for the production of parts in a multitude of metals at tolerances and depths that are hard to achieve with other fabrication techniques.
For example, PCM allows for the production of parts from 0.0005 in. (0,0127mm) to 0.1250 in. (3.175mm) thick, which enables us to deliver precision shims used by defense and aerospace contractors for leveling or balancing missiles, optics, wheels and more. PEI produces shims in thicknesses from 0.0005 in. (0,0127mm) to 0.150 in. (3.175mm).
EMI and RF shields are another sought-after part from PEI. Our shield cans
feature a patented, easy-access removable cover. This unique design allows users to quickly and easily replace or repair internal components without damaging the surrounding shield.
